What is a Trust Score?
Trust scores range from 0-100 and indicate how confident Vera is in the accuracy of a response. Scores are based on source quality, model agreement (Pro), and claim verifiability. Higher scores mean more confidence, but always verify critical information independently.
How does multi-model verification work?
Pro users get responses from multiple AI models (Claude, GPT-4, Gemini). Vera compares their answers—when models agree, confidence is higher. When they disagree, Vera shows you the different perspectives and explains the uncertainty.
What is the Knowledge Base?
Plus and Pro users can upload documents or add URLs to create a personal knowledge base. Vera will reference these materials when answering your questions, giving you more personalized and contextual responses.
Why did I get a low trust score?
Low scores can happen when: the topic is rapidly changing (recent news), information is obscure or niche, AI models disagree, or claims are difficult to verify. A low score doesn't mean the answer is wrong—it means you should verify independently.
Can Vera fact-check images or videos?
Currently, Vera focuses on text-based fact-checking. Image and video analysis features are on our roadmap for future releases.
How do I use the browser extension?
After installing the extension (Chrome, Safari, or Firefox), click the Vera icon or highlight text on any webpage. Vera will analyze the content and provide trust scores and verification. You control when Vera analyzes content.
What's the difference between Free, Plus, and Pro?
Free: 20 messages/day with basic AI responses. Plus ($4.99/mo): Unlimited messages, web search with citations, and knowledge base. Pro ($9.99/mo): Everything in Plus, plus multi-model verification, advanced bias detection, and priority support.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime through your App Store account settings. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Vera, then tap Cancel. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.
